Post 16 Code
We shall try to work with you on an adult basis and therefore you will be given guidelines and expectations to consider. We expect that any issue arising from these will be resolved by discussion and consideration in common sense ways. We request that all students set a positive example and are mindful of the good image of Belfairs Post 16.
Attendance and punctuality
It is vital that you attend regularly and are always punctual to lessons and tutorial sessions. Proper procedures should be followed in case of absence or lateness. Attendance falling below 93% will lead support meetings to address your attendance and progress going forward.
Dress
Our P16 dress code must be adhered to, please click here to view.
Electronic Equipment
The use of phones (including listening to music on headphones and earphones) should be discreet, should not impact on yours and others’ learning and only be done in Post 16 areas. They should not be visible around the Academy and they will be confiscated if seen in the corridors. The lower school operate a zero-smart product policy.
Smoking
Students are to refrain from smoking on or near the premises. This is a disciplinary issue for offenders.
Parking
There is no parking available for cars. Currently we have provision on site for bicycles but not for mopeds/motorbikes.
Alcohol & Illegal Substances
Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly prohibited and will lead to permanent exclusion.
Resources
Students are obviously expected to look after and respect our resources. There are standard procedures with regards to the use and security of ICT facilities to which students must adhere.
Use of Dining Hall
Post 16 students are able to use the Canteen and Cafe facilities to purchase food and dining during regulated times.
These are firm expectations of all students enrolling for Post 16 studies at Belfairs. Alongside these we expect all students treat each other and staff with courtesy and respect inline with our values.
