Chair of Governors – Dominic Carver
I have lived in Leigh for over twenty years and have two children, one currently at Belfairs Academy. I am delighted to have been on the local Governing Body of Belfairs Academy for five years and been able to watch the academy grow and develop during that time. I myself work in education and am currently a primary school headteacher. I am committed to doing all I can to helping the academy do the best for all its students as Chair of Governors.

Currently working as City Manager for CityFibre where she is responsible for rolling out a full fibre broadband network to transform Southend into one of the world’s best digitally connected towns. Governor – Ross Williams
I currently hold the position of Assistant Principal and have worked at Belfairs Academy for 16 years. I have had the pleasure of being a part of its road to success during this time.
I look forward to bringing my expertise in Primary Transition, Behaviour Management and student Enrichment to the LGB.
I believe that every child should be given the opportunity to succeed and I hope that with my role on the LGB we will continue to make this possible for all children that pass through the doors of Belfairs Academy.
Governor – Leanne Hahn
I have lived and worked in South East Essex for the past seventeen years. The last three as Vice Principal at Darlinghurst Academy. I have two children, one of whom attends Belfairs Academy. I am honoured to be a member of the Belfairs Academy Governing Body, looking forward to working alongside the Academy’s parents, students and staff – being part of its journey growing from strength to strength.
Governor – Sarah Sipple
Sarah has lived in Leigh-on-Sea since 2003, having been raised in Suffolk. After working in London for many years for organisations including Disney, Sarah changed careers in 2008 to work in a Social Care setting with vulnerable children. She is currently an Administration Manager for a not-for-profit Fostering Agency. Working in this field has given her valuable insight into how important a stable educational environment is for all children. She believes that Belfairs Academy is able to offer this to all of its students and looks forward to helping the Academy to continue to grow.
